1.) Bit is great - water thinger seems kind of silly

This bit is amazing. I had to drill 8 holes in porcelain tile for installing bifold doors and a Toto toilet. I had bought B&D carbide bit from HD and the thing took at least ten minutes to drill through a single hole. The bit looked like it was about to melt several times and I had to stop and come back later.
This bit literally drills through in fifteen seconds and I was able to drill 7 holes and it still appears to be going strong. It's a good idea to not simply trust that the grooves in the bit are pulling water down to the end of the bit - I removed it from the hole a couple of times and sprayed with water , which steamed off.
I didn't drill any holes in vertical tiles so I didn't need the reservoir/water dispenser. I tried to use it to control slipping of the bit on horizontal tile and the suction cups that are supposed to hold the dispenser to the tile were useless. Even putting pressure on the unit with one hand and drilling with the other did not help. I would buy the bit alone and invest in a decent spray bottle to get the job done, unless you are drilling in vertical tile, for which the reservoir/dispenser might be of some assistance.
2.) Little Drill Does Good

I needed this drill to put a few holes in a recently set porcelain tile floor. It was inexpensive ($18) compared to professional quality drills used by the tile store (wellover $100), so I didn't expect to get more than a couple of holes in hard porcelain. I drilled four holes through the porcelain and four more through the old ceramic tile underneath without much trouble. The little diamond burrs on the outer edge of the tip wore off quickly and I thought that was it. Yet I soon discovered a need to drill three more holes. What do you know, but it did those just fine. I expect there are several more holes to go with this little gem. I didn't use the water trough as I was drilling on the floor and it is for walls. But I did use it to center the drill on the floor, but any wood or plastic guide would do.
3.) Worth the Money

Overall worked great for what I needed. I had to cut 4 holes in porcelain tile shower walls. I used a masonry bit for the first 2 holes which took about an hour a piece. The first hole took about 5 mins with this bit. The last hole was a bit slower, but so much easier than the other bit. Works as advertised. The water cooler/guide system helped to start the hole, but the cooling system didn't work well. I used a spray bottle. It was helpful to get the hole started though. Didn't stay on the wall well. I may be able to get a few more holes, but not sure, but worth the money for a diamond bit, only way to go with porcelain.
4.) Good idea

Water reservoir not so efficient. Does not adhere to tile sturdy enough to form a secure guide for the drillbit. Water flows too fast from reservoir and empties out to quickly. Get someone to spray water on drillbit with an inexpensive water spray bottle. Drill bit is of decent DIY quality.

Drilled holes in porcelain floor tiles. First took 50 min, 2nd took 1hr, up to 2 hours for the eighth one. The hole drilling template was very useful. The plugs were easy to remove from the core bit. Just took a very long time to drill.
