Used this product to drill holes into my all glass fish tank to put some nice mounts in it, everything worked great with a high speed drill and these bits, Good Luck!

I used this hole saw kit to drill holes in a granite counter top. It worked well, but I was a little surprised when I realized that the hole saws don't have an arbor or drill bit in the middle to help align them and keep them drilling straight. As I was unable to get my large piece of granite up on a drill press, I first used the bit to drill a hole in a piece of wood then clamped that piece of wood to my counter top as a guide. I then filled the hole with water to cool the hole saw and I was able to drill down through the granite with a hand drill. It worked well, but I was expecting the saws to have a center shaft that would keep the bit centered on a pilot hole. Of course it would have been harder to keep the cooling water against the cutting surface if the bit had had a center arbor.

This product met my expectations and did the job and fast. It was granite countertop drilling, two holes 1.625 diameter for sink and faucet installation. The quality of the blades is decent although I would not call it professional. However for "advanced" and trifty handyman it was just perfect. The holesaw was a. guided by template, b. driven by cordless drill at about 1,200 RPM, c. light pressure was applied and d. lot of water was used during drilling. Drilling through about 1" countertop took about 2 minutes. The weight of the countertop was supported on three points, one, hardwood plank just under the hole. No chipping!

7.) As described... but a guide-bit would've been nice.

As described... but a guide-bit would've been nice (I know they don't claim to have giude-bits). They seem rather cheap (hence the price), but, all I needed was to drill 1 hole in a tile top table.. and ends up I didn't even use these. They did arrive fast and are as described (as mentioned previously).

8.) Would not cut porcelain tile

Tried 3 of these hole saws and they could not cut through porcelain tile. THey slipped all over the place, and in the end the tile dulled the blade! I've returned these items and have bought Ridgid instead, which works reasonably well.

these hole cut diamond dust saw have no way to drill a pilot hole, so can't control where they go. also the diamond dust dissapeared after about 30 seconds and i couldn't even drill one hole. sorry i purchased this set http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UF5V18/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title .
